EU VAT registration, handled from one hub
We arrange your Dutch VAT number so your goods clear customs and you can sell in Europe, without opening a local company.
Your EU VAT number, sorted
An EU VAT number is the first thing you need to import goods and sell in Europe. Without it, shipments stall at customs and marketplaces won't let you list. We arrange your Dutch VAT registration so you can start trading from day one.
There are two routes to a Dutch VAT number: setting up your own Dutch entity, or registering through a fiscal representative, a local party that lets a business based outside the EU register without opening a company. We help you pick the right route and handle the paperwork end to end.
We also set up your EORI number, which every business needs to import into the EU, and apply for an Article 23 permit. Article 23 defers import VAT: instead of paying it in cash at the border on every shipment, you account for it in your VAT return, so you don't tie up working capital.
This is registration assistance, we get you set up to trade. Your ongoing periodic VAT returns are filed by your own accountant or tax advisor.

What's included
What VAT registration includes
- Dutch VAT number
Registered via your own entity or through a fiscal representative in the Netherlands.
- EORI number
Set up alongside your VAT number, required for every business importing into the EU.
- Article 23 import-VAT deferment
Account for import VAT in your return instead of paying it upfront at the border.
- Fiscal representative route
Register for EU VAT without opening your own Dutch company.

Fiscal representation
Register without a local company
Most businesses based outside the EU can register for VAT through a fiscal representative, a local party known to the tax authority that registers on your behalf. We arrange that role in the Netherlands, so you get a Dutch VAT number without incorporating a company here.
Going through a fiscal representative is also what unlocks the Article 23 import-VAT deferment, so your imports clear customs without paying VAT in cash at the border.
Once the registration is in place, you're set to import and trade. Your periodic VAT returns are then run with your own accountant, we focus on getting you registered and importing.
FAQ
VAT questions
Do I need a local company to get an EU VAT number?
No. We arrange a Dutch VAT number and EORI through the fiscal-representative route, so you can register and import without setting up a local entity.
What is Article 23 import-VAT deferment?
A Dutch licence that lets you reverse-charge import VAT on your periodic return instead of paying it in cash at the border, so it doesn't tie up your working capital. Setting it up is part of this service.
Does this include ongoing VAT returns?
This service focuses on getting you registered and import-ready, VAT number, EORI and Article 23. Ongoing periodic returns run with a fiscal representative; tell us your setup and we'll make sure it's in place.
